Angela Ferreira is Cardiff, Wales based artist who since young age traveled extensively, which has strong influences in her works. Angela is currently finishing a Masters degree in Arts in Health and is the artist in residence at the Teenage Cancer Trust, at the University Heath Hospital of Wales. Angela was born in Portugal, sharing the same birthday as Wassilly Kandinsky. The very famous and typical castle of her home town has a strong influence for her passion about fairytales which she grew up with a very good view from her bedroom window. Since early days, passionate about drawing and painting she felt different from the crowd and this ignited her to travel and explore new horizons. At the age of only 16 she left home to spend a year as an exchange student in Texas where she won an Art Student Award. Her ideas and concepts, made her different and outstanding. | Angela has spent one month in Brazil in an international program of Youth & Ecology, raising awareness of global problems and finding local solutions. When Angela moved to Wales where she’s been living and painting since she has embarked on a deep and personal spiritual journey that has opened a door to the ethereal world of Reiki and crystal healing. Her work has been exhibited in UK and Portugal and in 2008 became a book cover in her country of birth. Angela’s work was published twice in the National Geographic/ Hampton Brown School Books in USA as learning material. Angela welcomes her Spirit guide and Angels to guide her through her work and meditates on a regular basis. Angela's paintings seem to be telling a story, a fairytale... Her goal is to bring cultures together, transmit good inner feelings, positive energy and to take your eyes on a journey to a different imaginative world.
